60mm FF equiv falls a little into no mans land for myself. Too long for everyday use. Too short for anything you might need a little reach. While Jose' does real well with his 32 for portraits, the 40 is still not ideal. Also, there's a quite the difference between 32 and 40 on aps-c. For standard portraits I prefer 85mm FF equiv. For enviro portraits I reach for 35mm equiv. Just sharing my preferences cause you asked and I'm surfing DP while having coffee this morning.
