I am going to add few of my observations:

  1. M6 mk II is too small for large lenses
  2. I need builtin viewfinder
  3. RF is where all the interesting development is happening at the moment

but these are my reasons for not getting M6ii, I own the old M6 and I am going to use it and M3 until it breaks down.

A wise pro photographer taught me

lenses first -- figure out the lenses you need first -- lenses are the art makers

then after you figure out your lens road map -- figure out your bodies

Not all of us are professional photographers. Some of us are just casual photographers. For me, it's more important to have the camera with me at all times hence the importance of size and weight. My M100+22mm is always at arms reach. I'll sacrifice some of the photo quality for portability. I like to take random shots of every day things that I find amusing. I can't carry a camera bag with me my entire waking hour.

cool - small is good

for me it's iphone for that application

If I'm a professional photographer then yes, photo quality will be my main priority over size. It would be a different story.

in my case , the m6II + m32 is a third camera on my belt I can carry to events.  And the m6II is great for my casual downtime.  Without it, I'd only be carrying two cameras to events.  The m6II cuts down on lens changes, gives additional backup (I lost a shutter years ago at an event and lived to shoot again for the same client)  and M6II is very good at iso 100 for dynamic range and has e-shutter up to 1/16,000 for direct sunlight and is fast to my liking (7-14 fps)  -- I like it for some circumstances over my 4 fps RP

pro photographer's like to have casual downtime too, take vacations, take a camera on a walkabout, and shoot with small devices

It's like arguing what is best, cars vs. trucks vs. SUV vs. motorcycle.

R2 calls it "standard debate" of what folks see as their own formula -- that is the proper way to express what it is versus calling it arguing or whining.  Don't sweat the small stuff.  All that matters is you are happy with what you got.  Listen to the standard debate and then make decisions on whatever floats your boat as the saying goes.  But in this day and age, one doesn't need to spend a King's ransom to satisfy customers.
