I like these pictures! I prefer the first, as another poster said it is the best composition (no branch clipping the wing tip), and it has more action than the others. But for a contest, I think that you should try to extract some detail from the under-bird area, it is too big to be just black. In this process, if successful, more noise will crop up, Topaz AI will have to be called-in, as you say. But it is a very nice picture, I would say.

The last one is not definitely a portrait. I would call it an "action photo", and an extremely difficult one to catch! Well done.
