Help with Nikon Z5 and Yongnuo YN685

I feel like I'm missing a simple setting somewhere. I have a new Nikon Z5 and I'm using my Yongnuo YN685 on the hotshoe. The flash has worked well on my D7100 but on the Z5 I can't get it to fire in i-TTL mode. When I adjust the zoom on my lens, the flash reacts and updates on the screen to reflect the zoom so I know they're talking. Flash also fires fine when in the flash is set to Manual mode. But as soon as I change it back to i-TTL, no flash.

I've updated the firmware on both camera and flash. The camera is mechanical shutter mode, not silent mode.

Now when I hook the Yongnuo YN-622 controller on the hotshoe, it can fire the flash just fine in i-TTL. So all of that, makes me think I just have a wrong setting somewhere.

Thanks for the help!
