I am going to add few of my observations:

  1. M6 mk II is too small for large lenses
  2. I need builtin viewfinder
  3. RF is where all the interesting development is happening at the moment

but these are my reasons for not getting M6ii, I own the old M6 and I am going to use it and M3 until it breaks down.

A wise pro photographer taught me

I am putting my sights on 70-200/2.8 and a fast 85 mm.

A 70-200 basically demands a deep grip.

good choices

suggest starting with 70-200 f2.8 on your RP  -- I'm retired and since I've aged I use a monopod  on my EF 70-200 F2.8 L  -- today I'd try to swing the RF 70-200 F2.8 L for its smaller size.

the 70-200 F2.8 is the money lens

lenses first -- figure out the lenses you need first -- lenses are the art makers

then after you figure out your lens road map -- figure out your bodies
