Our son is a pretty amazing young photographer. He is completely opposed to any for of editing software it is almost a moral question.

Are there any other people here who work this way? It’s like using auto tune on a vocal to him. He wants to get the shot OOC.

Any suggestions…or support groups that he can join?

I can relate to this. Photojournalism is very much "straight out of the camera". Reuters is a good reference.  There are other fields of photography where photo-realism are imperative: medical, legal and forensic come to mind.

There is an "anti-photoshop" (meaning no/limited image manipulation) movement among some photographers.

It's all good. There is a discipline, a skill, to getting it right in the camera.
