The 500mm f5.6 PF saw birds - again

Hi Folks,

Earlier this mount made a quick trip looking for raptors in the Tal Chappar grassland.

The light was good and I like what the lens saw.

Laggar Falcon preying on Spiny-tailed Lizard

Indian Roller

Montague’s Harrier

Common Kestrel

White-eyed Buzzard

Black-winged Kite

A wonderful lens and the D500 loves it.

As a side note, I did get to handle the same lens on a Z6-II body today. The combination is nice and lightweight. However, the electronic viewfinder was new to me as was the ever so slight but noticeable extra time the lens took to focus. Guess that is because I am not used to a ML body. I fired off a few shots but nothing serious. The set belonged to someone else.

Hope you enjoy the bird photos.
