Question on RF50mm 1.2 and Alternative/s

I've pre-ordered the RF50mm 1.2, largely because it's a great lens based on my having spent around half an hour with it on my R6. I have around 15 days to change my mind. It's sizeable amount of money, unless you're the chosen son of a shipping magnate.

Thus my question: I will be testing tomorrow a mint-condition EF50mm 1.2 from a trusted reseller of pre-owned gear (he's selling it for US$850). This is a lens I went back and forth on, during my 6DMII and 5DMIV days because it does not have IS. That's no longer a problem with my R6, hence my dilemma. Based on the images I recall from this EF lens, it is very good. It has character and renders colors in a more subtle yet old-school three-dimensional way on my 5DMIV. However, it is not as sharp as the RF50mm 1.2 so there's that.

For my use, it's generally portrait. I have an 85mm for that too. More casual portraits where I can move closer to my subject, this 50mm is for that. By that I mean family / friends portrait, and paid gigs-corporate portrait (which I still get to do 8-10x per year as passive source of income).

Any one here who owns both or had owned both at some point? Or yet another 50mm worth looking into? Kindly soliciting your feedback. Thanks in advance.
