It depends a bit on your frame of reference. As a complement to a full frame system, it makes little sense. As a standalone system that occupies the middle ground between EF-M and RF, it can make a lot of sense.

More options are always great, but the Fuji mount already has two 16mm primes, six 32-35mm primes, and seven 50-56mm primes.
