I picked a D5. Earlier I picked the D4 and then the D4S. Just got back from three weeks in the southwest US desert amid wind, dust, dirt, sand, rain, etc. D5 worked flawlessly throughout. I love the images it produces -- from high ISO moonrise shining on Ruby lake Nevada to detailed shots of ruins and pottery shards on Cedar Mesa to mid day handheld panorama stitches to lizards, birds, fish, toads, plants and rocks. It just works. No problems. No fiddling. Great images with an intuitive set of professional controls.

So - get a D5.

Then go shoot and stop worrying.
