wasps in my garden

Black and white Ichneumon wasp.

It was a bit too windy for close up shots.

This one is a male.

It took off just as the camera took the photo.  That is why the wings are spread like that and the focus is a bit behind.

This is a species of jumping spider that I have not seen before.

The ant is a photo bomb.  It is the smallest species of ant in the world at less than two mm.  They are hard to find and I have never had any information on the nest.

I did get a shot of the eyes.

I don't recognize this wasp and they didn't sit still for long.

This is a rare moment when it held still just long enough.

Just one more thing I never heard of.  A wasp making a nest out of what looks like resin.

The nest is just outside my back door under a window frame.

I would love to learn more about this wasp.

About to leave for more food for the larva to be.

The nest is still open and I can see what looks like caterpillars in it.
