An issue I have encountered

New to GFX and after a few shoots, I have encountered an issue that is really REALLY bothering me.

I have been shooting Nikon FF since the mid-70s and have been using BBF since it became available on cameras.

On the GFX I have assigned the front function button to be my AF activator and decoupled shutter release AF.

My issue is this, I have largish hands and my thumb pretty much falls atop the joystick button on the 100S.  When shooting I find I am frequently pushing (unintentionally) the joystick, which then sends the camera into AF point selection mode.  This is distracting, annoying and interrupts my train of thought.

Is there a way to disable the joystick while in shooting mode?  Obviously I will need it functional when I go into the menus.
