Reaching for the moon with inadequate focal length
6

Here is a shot of the crescent moon with my 45-150mm Panasonic kit zoom. It is obviously too short of FL, so I screwed on an Olympus C-180 1.7x converter. It is cheap (~ $10 used) and it screws right on the filter threads without an adaptor. This gets me to 255mm. Well, this is still a bit short so I scaled up the raw file by 150% in RawTherapee. There is some loss in sharpness in doing all of this, but it looks okay. Nothing like you guys with the longer glass and teleconverters.
