exceptional. Wish I had easy access to somewhere with no light pollution as you were.

A service advisor I know at a car dealership takes incredible Astro photographs, and in conversations with him, he told me that he uses a lens filter on a Nikon DSLR to completely eliminate city lights … I was most impressed with his results. So, a bit of research might very well provide a solution to you.

There's unfortunately no way to eliminate it, they are lights in the end so that light will always be there.  He's very likely talking about a red intensifier filter which does lower the lights slightly, especially if the city uses sodium vapor lighting. However, with the switch to blue-hue LED lighting, the filter has much less of an effect.
