It’s a miserable day

but we wander out and take some photographs.

When we arrive back home we dump them into the food photo processor and see we have detail in the sky, detail in the shadows, the colours are correct and contrast is spot on. It is a perfect bland copy of the original scene.

So, do we accept we have produced a perfect photograph, based on the original scene, and leave it like that or do we play with the saturation, the contrast and the clarity and turn it into a Hollywood spectacular?

which result would be a good photograph ?
