Works fine Dan,I've never had any issues with C-RAW . If anyone can show me evidence to the contrary I'll reconsider C-RAW if there's any significant visible differences.
I can't find anything about it on the internet either. The only thing related is this from the DPP4 user manual:
"You can correct these optical phenomena in RAW images which have been shot with compatible lenses. JPEG, TIFF, S-RAW, and M-RAW images cannot be corrected."
I'm not sure what S-RAW or M-RAW are, but they're definitely not the same as C-RAW. Maybe that's what the OP saw and misread it?
From Canon (Asia)..
"Step 1: Reduce the effects of diffraction using Digital Lens Optimiser
When photographing fireworks, we usually need to use a very narrow aperture (such as f/22) to achieve optimal exposure. However, this also results in diffraction, which causes the lines of the fireworks to become blurred.
This can be corrected in Digital Photo Professional 4 by using the Digital Lens Optimiser (DLO) feature*. Simply turn it on to sharpen the blurry lines. The default DLO setting is “50”. Adjust it as needed while paying attention to the resulting image quality.
*Not available for images shot in the compressed C-RAW format. To benefit from DLO in post-processing, record in full RAW format."

I do gather Diffraction Correction and Chromatic Aberration are applied when folks are checking the DLO box on C-RAW as these are available both in-camera and in DPP4, without a DLO profile to begin with, but, are unavailable when you deploy DLO, which automatically applies them.

I gather not all of the other corrections are being applied when you check that DLO box, on C-RAW...

Allegedly there are multiple corrections applied when you check that box. You're just getting them all is what I'm saying when you use C-RAW.
