E Scooters - An Accident Waiting to Happen (?)
5

The law/rules regarding E Scooters in the UK (at any rate) are quite clear. Rented scooters (under a govt scheme in various cities across the UK) can only be ridden on cycle paths or roads. Purchased scooters can only be used on private land.

Actually, numerous accidents have already happened here with deaths and life changing injuries including some involving children. In my home town a young guy was killed whilst driving one on the road without a helmet. He'd also got his girlfriend on it too - she had serious injuries.

There is no way this could ever be policed properly.

People are whizzing around on these things, which are virtually silent, so you don't hear them coming.

End of rant.
