Re: Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra - adding music files and photos

Had trouble transferring music files and photos. Gosh, what is new! Used Transfernow on Mac to send music mp3 files from Mac to Transfernow and then to my secondary email account. With the Android phone, in my case the Xiaomi, I simply looked at the secondary email acc, clicked on the link provided and downloaded the files. In my case they ended up in my Music folder on the phone. You may have to do it file by file but it gets it done. Found multiple track downloading didn't work for me. Only another 900 tracks to go.

I wouldn’t bother with Dropbox, Transfernow is much simpler and has no limits on file size.

Could not get software for USB cable connection to work.

Can process dng files in Capture One but JPEG’s OOC aren’t that bad. However they can be tweaked in C1 to improve them further. The jpegs aren't bad for a phone! The processed dng files to my mind are still a long way short of DSLR quality so my proper cameras are here to stay. Personally I won’t bother with the dng files. May well sell this Xiaomi and stick with my iPhone 7. Can’t see any point in using an expensive phone if image quality isn’t up to scratch. Or maybe its just me.

Previous owner had stuck protective film on camera lens. WRONG. Produced funny photos. Well, horrible actually with lots of flare and strange tints.

Not a lot of people know this.
