I have a D-7100, which I consider to be pretty much the same as the D-7200 except for buffer size. I also have a D-7500. In my opinion, there's no comparison. The D-7500 is significantly better than the D-7100 (and by extrapolation the D-7200) . I use the 7500 for action (sports) photography at night and bird photography, primarily hummingbirds. I feel comfortable using ISO 5000-8000 with the D-7500. The D-7100 seems ok at 4000 and below. The dual card slots don't really do much unless you want to do jpgs with one and raw with the other at the same time. Otherwise, it's just a way of carrying a second card with you.
