Compact but quality video to record youth sports
Compact but quality video to record youth sports
Oct 7, 2021
Hi all, I'm looking for suggestions for a good video focused camera to record youth/high school soccer and basketball. Something easy enough that my wife can use also (basic panning and zooming). I've tried a gopro and it's too wide of an angle (even with narrow) and even tried the dji pocket 2 and that was probably the closest to best so far but want to make sure i'm not missing something. Typically viewing from sideline and want to be able to just pan either from a tripod or gimbal rotating wrist (trying to use the pan on pocket was a bit slow for fast paced action). Good enough video quality but doesn't need to be the best as I want to keep this a bit on a budget. If I'm primarily going I can use my A7III but want something less bulky and easier. Ideally I'd LOVE if there was a camera/gimbal that could follow the ball but I know we're not there yet tech wise in an affordable solution. Any help would be appreciated!
