M6 MKII with ring "flash"
5

I took some shots this weekend using a Neewer Macro ring flash on the end of my 18-150 lens. While I have the Canon ring flash, the nice things about the Neewer one (and similar from other brands) are:
- it has adapters to fit many lenses, not just Canon macro lenses

- it can be used in light mode, when the LEDs are on to illuminate the subject, at full brightness. Great for seeing what the shot will look like.

-MUCH cheaper than the Canon ring flash (under $100 instead of $300+).

Here's the shots or our Night Blooming Cereus opening up (the last set of blooms for the year). This blooms about 4 or 5 times a year, with the blooms going from closed to fully open over a couple of hours just after sunset, and then collapsing forever as the sun rises.
