Thank you, Mario! Very interesting link! For me, it's a tricky one. Reading that from 100-300, the 70-350 (and therefore also 70-300) is clearly better, and having become such an addict of high IQ and sharpness all over the frame, I think I will stick to my 16-55 + 70-300 two lens solution after all.

If you want maximum sharpness throughout the frame, then your 2 lenses certainly have you covered well.

For me, the 18-300 has such versatility and freedom, at acceptable levels of sharpness,  and a user-friendly focus distance.   It will complement my 16-55.
