File size: stills-camera video vs Camcorder video

Wasn't really sure which forum to post this in - but maybe here's a good place to start.

I have little to no experience with video recording/editing. I currently own an Olympus OMD-1 and EPL-6 cameras - both of which are video enabled - and I have a selection of accompanying lenses etc. Even at the medium quality setting, file sizes are large - roughly 25MB for a 10 second clip with sound (straight out of camera). So my question(s) is/are: are stills cameras the best way to go about recording video? Should I look at a dedicated Camcorder instead? Is there any difference in file sizes between those recorded by a stills camera and those recorded by a videocam? Are there any compressed file formats after downloading the file from camera? I would be mainly recording wildlife, air-shows, classic car shows to post on video sharing sites for family/friends to view. Thanks in advance.
