Jeep crash story
2

At 1:30 late last night, Angela from Sierra Vista crashed her 2005 Mazda into Eddie's white 1997 Jeep Wrangler out on Fremont Street, and then plowed into the Antique Mall building, damaging vendor Amy's merchandise inside.

Which they told me about over coffee this morning at Ike's gas station. Had the K-70 in the car, still with yesterday's 16-45 f/4 lens. Tough break for Eddie — he keeps that 1997 white Jeep Wrangler in top shape and had planned to go deer hunting soon with it. At my end, fast photos for a local news story, and my surprise at a crash that tore the two drivers-side wheels off their axles, and also the large spare tire off the back door. Quite a crash!

On the photography side, easy on P Program. Except later I noticed that the focus selector was left on MF Manual rather than on AF Automatic. Oh well. Perfection is reserved for almighty God, and the pix came out OK for the paper. Luck! And further confirmation of my theory that almost every Pentax lens is just fine for basic photo work... each with IQ far beyond what our digital screens and offset printing can accurately reproduce... and that, as the old saying goes — "Best camera? The one you have with you!"
