RF 24-105 IS stm vs EF 24-70mm f/2.8 mkII USM

I'm considering the RF 24-105mm IS stm as a light weight zoom for my R5 as a light weight alternative to the EF 24-70mm f/2.8 mkII USM. As soon as I need more light, a shallower DOF or faster AF I will switch to the EF f/2.8 USM lens. Of course the RF stm lens leaves a lot to be desired when it's your only lens, but for me it's not, and this lens has 3 welcome features:

- it zooms

- it's only 395 grams

- it doesn't need an adapter

The only important aspect for me will be the IQ performance from 35-105mm at f/5.6 or f8.0. I know about 24mm etc etc. so let's not discuss that again. I have other lenses doing 24mm pretty well, so that's not important, the f/7.1 at 105mm is not important either, and wide open performance isn't important too, it's just about 35-105mm at f/5.6 or 8.0.

According to this review the 24-105 stm is decent when tested on the RP.

Unfortunately I can't find a kind of comparable test of the EF 24-70mm f/2.8 mkII USM at a comparable Mp-count sensor.

If I compare the RF non L (on the RP) to the RF f/4.0 L (on the R) the non L doesn't perform that bad at f/5.6 and 8.0.

Even the Sigma 85mm f/1.4 Art on the R needs to be stopped down till f/2.8 to do a significantly better job.

What do you guys think? Is this lens usable at f/5.6 and f/8.0 from 35-105mm? Or will it be a disappointment, making me reach to my heavy adapted EF f/2.8 L even when I only plan to shoot at scape apertures? Does anybody know how these lenses compare at the given apertures and focal lengths?

Another question: I didn't find that IBIS would improve the stabilization of this lens. Any information about ILIS and IBIS working in tandem or not would be welcome.

thank you in advance
