FYI - 2.4GHz interference: TT350 vs. X1
1

I was reminded last night why I have X1 triggers even though I generally prefer to use TT350s as triggers on my cameras when I'm using off-camera flash - event venues sometimes (often?) have equipment that interferes in the 2.4GHz radio band. I set up my lights at a gala with a TT350 on-camera, and triggering worked at 10-20 feet only 30-50% of the time. I swapped the TT350 for an X1, and voilà, reliable triggering. It seems that the TT350's radio is weaker than the X1's, making is more vulnerable to interference.

I have encountered this in at least one other large event venue. So far, the X1 has managed fine, but just in case it doesn't, I also retain a set of the original 433MHz Godox triggers and plug-in receivers. They're dirt-cheap.

Backup, backup, backup.
