Re: Decent beginner software for D850 video processing on laptop?

I'm not much of a video expert but when I got my D850 I looked for video editing and found Davinci Resolve (https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve/). It's not a stripped down easy experience but it is widely used and there are lots of great tutorials.

I was drawn to it for two reasons (OK its not an Adobe product so three :-). One: the business model. The editor is open source with no support. They make the money on the hardware they make and offering support for studios. Two: It had really good colour grading.

IMHO is is worth getting to know a really good editor just like it is for editing your RAW files for stills.
