Hello everybody,

I feel that my GAS start to itch again! This time for some fast normal prime in range app. 30-35mm. I mostly use my 24f1.8 for indoor and outdoor family shooting, but sometimes I miss better background separation. So I would like to get lens with faster aperture and longer focal length to improve it.

What seems to be wrong with your Tamron 35mm F2.8 Di III OSD M1:2 besides being f2.8. I'm still using my Sigma 30 EX DN f2.8, and very happy with it every time I use it.

I bought Tamron mainly because of 1:2 magnification and also beacuase it's so cheap, so it was easy to order it for testing. It has great sharpness and low CA, but I don't shoot close-ups so much and for my style I would probably need longer lens to not scare critters. For general usage f2.8 on apsc is too slow for me because of mediocre low light performance and background separation. If at least f2, I would probably keep it.

Seems that obvious choices with reasonable size and price are:

Sigma 30mm f1.4 DC DN

Viltrox AF 33mm f/1.4

Also how it's with lens corrections, primarily for RAW's in Capture One. Are applied on both lenses?

This should answer this question for you.

Do you find either of those lenses you mentioned (?), I didn't, but maybe I missed them.

The list is not what you think it is. There are no new lenses in general. I have Sony 70-350 or mentioned Tamron 35f2.8, which are not on the list, but still supported through "Manufacturer profile" in Capture One. Not sure if it's valid for all lenses though.
