I have been looking for, with great interest, things about Fujifilm Finepix S5 Pro DSLR Body. I think in to acquise one, for my hobbies. Does anyone have anything to say about this camera? In practice, what are the differences between it and the Nikon D200?

I owned the S1/2/3 and 5 in the 2000’s. I was an aerial photographer and shot both Nikon and Fujifilm, since they shared lenses. I don’t remember a lot of details from those years, but there was one customer who took the time to write and say “Wow, those colors!” from the S3, I believe. Yes, those cameras made some excellent photos.

I read great articles about SuperCCD of The Fuji Finepix S-Pro Série and de S2-S5 are the masters of beautiful colors, talks.

And you can read similar articles today about Fuji’s great colors and their wonderful film simulations. Or you can read articles about the wonders of Hasselblad’s color science and how Phocus creates magical skin tones (with Caucasians—not so magical with darker skin tones) Or read about how Leica’s colors are sublime. They all do a great job—even the much maligned profiles in Lightroom. They are all, ultimately, just choices in color mapping and saturation. None of them are particularly accurate (intentionally) which is why product and fashion photographers generally need to create custom profiles, regardless of the brand or model camera.

If you like the color output of your camera, great. If not, most cameras and software will let you tweak the colors to your heart’s content until you get just what you want or need.
