I used the D200 for many years and it's a very capable camera. It's limitation is high ISO is noisy so you need fast glass in dark places. On the topic of glass and this is about your S5 Pro as well. There is a huge amount of used Nikon lenses available and there bargens.

The D200 was my very first digital camera.  I was super excited about it when I got it brand new at Best Buy for $600 bucks.  I felt like a "Professional" shooter hahaha.

IMHO the D200 produced nicer photos than the D300.  My dad bought the D300 and man there was something about it that I kind of never liked.   I really like the images the D200 produces and some say that Fuji "gave" Nikon some of that fuji magic in the D200 since Fuji purchased their bodies.  Who knows if that is true or not and I wonder if they actually did have some kind of you help me I help you agreement.

But man when it comes down to color the S5 Pro is really hard to beat, is just on higher level and dudes if Fuji came out with that same old sensor technology BUT updated in a 16/32 Mega pixels I would buy it in a heart beat.  The skin tones and look from the S5 are really really nice.

And man these days you can grab some seriously inexpensive super high quality prime lenses that used to cost a ton of money and use them either on a D200 or the S5 Pro.
