Shutter priority problem, suddenly

Hello. Suddenly, when I am in Shutter priority mode, my images have a black area. Any ideas? Even when I do a "reset" to get the camera back to the regular settings, and then put in Shutter mode, this happens.

The height of the "good part" of the image changes when I change settings, like shutter speed (if I recall correctly).

A few minutes later, I take more pictures, and here is what I get:

Now you see that the dark part is located at the top of the image. Any ideas? I do have an external flash. A week ago, my Shutter priority pictures looked normal.

I suppose I should also mention that my "aperture priority" images are strange now too. Thanks.
