How do you see the world?

The 50mm (FFe) lens is normal, how all normal people see the world, right?

Define normal. (Yes, yes, YMMV, everyone is different, normal should be 42mm (FFe), yadda-yadda-yadda.)

I performed an inadvertent experiment the other day. I compared the live view screen on my camera at 25mm (MFT) with what I saw, focusing on a single area. To be clear, I did not suppress my saccades, I just concentrated on my central subject. The two images were not the same.

Here's a repeat of that passing notice, a little more calmly from my couch.

The 25mm "Normal" view.

How I see the world when I concentrate, roughly 40-ish mm (MFT).

I was surprised by the difference. To be fair, I tried this several times and got various values, from 35mm to 40mm (MFT)

This sort of explains why I have no comprehension of why anyone would own a lens wider than 35mm (FFe).
