Pana 100-300 II - not great, but not bad
10

A couple of shots at a pretty great distance - these are significant crops.  I'm not looking for razor sharpness, but looking for light and small and this seems like about the sweet spot for size/range with a modest amount of weather sealing (dust/splash proof) - on a windy day on a fairly fast moving river in a kayak - I am pretty happy how it seems to be working out.

For anyone out there who is using this lens - do you find using IBIS is better than lens IS?  In the very short time I've had this I am thinking the IBIS feels a bit better - which stuns me at 300mm (600mm equiv).  I do use fast shutter speeds most of the time, so I know that helps.

As you may see, the colors are starting to change in the far upper midwest - Northern Wisconsin in this case.
