Konica Hexanon AR 28mm f3.5 (7/7 version)
1

It may be slow, but slow and steady wins the race!

The latest addition to my Hexanon family is the 28mm f3.5. $23 including tax and shipping.

Based on my internet research, I believe it to be the last version that is 7 elements in 7 groups, which is reputed to be the best. I only had a about 10 minutes with which to test it, but after on my test shots I find that very believable. Colors are vibrant and the contrast is high.

Test shots: All SOOC. Varying aperture. View at 100% to fully appreciate the lens.

Note: no matter what lens I use, my camera has issues with roses from this bush clipping the red channel.

Some blooming (no pun intended), but not too bad considering the high contrast of the scene.

Handled backlit very well.

Bokeh here is too busy for my taste :/

Bokeh here is fine now that the background is far enough away.
