I had two copies of that camera. Both exhibited severe auto white balance problems. Way to warm in most cases.

I always shoot RAW and if I don't like the white balance, I set it. What software were you processing with? It may have been during the Nikon Adobe spat when Nikon encrypted the exif data. Annoying, I always found it a bit magenta yet when white balance set manually the color was great.

Unfortunately I couldn’t shoot raw. Had to shoot jpg to get as many photos on the card as possible. Ruined a couple of flights before I finally set it manually.
