I have been looking for, with great interest, things about Fujifilm Finepix S5 Pro DSLR Body. I think in to acquise one, for my hobbies. Does anyone have anything to say about this camera? In practice, what are the differences between it and the Nikon D200?

Perhaps fPrime will chime in as he owns both cameras.

I am familiar with the D40 of the same era with the lower resolution CCD sensor but has a much weaker AA filter compared to the D200.

If you come across a minty example of the S5, definitely grab it.

You will enjoy the great CCD colors with superior dynamic range and texture in the highlights. It is difficult to blow the highlights with the S5, a huge advantage over other CCD sensors. It is a fantastic camera for portraits as well and not too shabby for black and white photography.

Have fun,

Serge

Thanks too very much! I just decided to buy her! Yes, the condition is very good - not mine, but it's very good cared.
