OP: latest GIMP is out

Lots of comments on Affinity, and I really think it's actually a valid point as it's very impressive at a low cost point.

As for a full open-source offering, GIMP/GMIC/DARKTABLE/RAWTHERAPEE on Linux is totally mind blowing .... for zero-cost. There are a few professional limitations on a pure open-source platform (for a print driver I used TurboPrint, not all Watcom tablets are well supported, the ColorHug colorimeter is no more, etc.).

The point of my original post is likely a non-sequitur, at least for the demographic of this forum.  While GIMP is pretty powerful, and is well supported, it looks like most everyone has settled into Photoshop, et al.

Now, I'll just hop on my eBike and toddle off downtown for a fair-market coffee.
