I thinking about the Lumix FZ1000 or the second-had Canon 7D with the 70-300. A few questions though.

When I would choose the 7D will the "old" 7D do the job or has the mark II far more advantages to spend the extra money?

Choosing a 70-300, will any type/brand do? Or do I need specific specifications?

Again, thanks a lot.

I'm a big fan of the 7D, even though I don't use it actively anymore. Very fast AF, deep burst buffer, 8 fps, sturdy like few others. They sell for peanuts second hand, buy one now and you'll have a camera for the rest of your life.

I often consult https://opticallimits.com/ for lens tests. Don't fall for the EF 75-300 lenses despite their low price, the Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS STM is said to be good value for money.
