What about not having the EVF on the m6 mark 2 ? Did you buy one and how did that work out for you. I had the m3 which had worse AF than the m5 and did not miss the EVF.

I actually much prefer to shoot without an EVF. I only use an EVF with long telephoto lenses. It’s entirely personal preference though.

I've had my M6 MKII for a year or so, I did purchase the the DC2 EVF at the same time.

I forced my self to use the Live View and also used the touch and drag for auto focus. It didn't take much time to become proficient using touch /drag focus.

I used it exclusively until I went on a month long trip driving across the US (Washington to NY). On my very first use of the camera I found that because of the intense sunlight on a river trip (I was shooting 1000 ft. rocks that were around before Prehistoric times- some scientifically tested and said to be over a billion yrs old) I needed to use the EVF so I'm glad I had it.

Since then I've gone back to using the live view screen.
