Problems adapting Sigma SA lenses to Panasonic S bodies

It seems as if Panasonic S cameras only recognize adapted Sigma SA lenses as APS-C lenses, even when they are full frame lenses.

My case: A Sigma EX Aspherical 28-70mm/2.8 SA-mount adapted to the Panasonic S5 or S1H via the Sigma MC-21 (SA mount to L-mount) is treated by the cameras as an APS-C lens. The cameras automatically crop the image to APS-C sensor size with 11 Megapixel resolution.

There seems to be no possibility in the menus to override that setting. (Even in the video menus, where an APS-C crop can be manually set, the Full Frame setting is greyed out, and trying to activate it results in an error message that the lens is only APS-C.)

On the Sigma fp, with the same adapter, the lens is correctly recognized and treated as a full frame lens.

Have others encountered the same issue, perhaps with other full frame SA mount lenses?
