Yes, I can display the histogram.

But I am looking for a way to display a simple + / - exposure meter.

Like +2 if the shot is two stops over exposed, or -1 if it is one stop underexposed, or 0 if exposure is "correct."

I can't seem to find it anywhere, but I thought I saw it one time before.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Put the camera in Manual mode and manual ISO. Then the usual EC display becomes a light meter.

Thanks, but I am (technically) shooting in manual mode. Meaning, I am actually shooting VIDEO but the mode is manual mode (and manually set ISO). so nothing automatic there.

But just so I understand your point, are you saying in any other exposure mode for stills (Aputure or shutter priority), you can't get a simple - / 0 / + exposure meter displayed?

In any of the auto-exposure modes (P, A or S) the camera sets the exposure to the metered value, so no meter display is necessary.  In fully manual mode, the meter display tells you how much your set exposure (aperture and shutter speed) is above or below the metered value.
