High dymamic range camera

Hi all,

I'm wondering whether there is any sensible way to get A LOT more dynamic range than I can get with my current kit (Canon SLRs, 5D IV, 1D IV, a couple of others). I'm talking a real and significant difference here, at least a stop or two, not just a few percentage points.  I know that some cameras have more DR than others and without ever really researching it I have always assumed that the differences are small enough to not be particularly noticeable in everyday use.  (I've never noticed an in-your-face difference between my various Canon bodies.)

I'm not interested in multiple exposure HDR, I'd just like sometimes to take a shot with more DR in it than any camera I own can manage.

I'm guessing that the answer will be "Actually there are small differences between the brands but you probably won't notice much of a change, save your money". But I'll ask the question anyway, just in case.

Thanks all.
