Careful!  The solenoid needs to be replaced with a Japanese (white-bodied) one - not the green Chinese one that failed.  Most repairers probably won't be doing this - especially as the white solenoids are no longer made, so have to be removed from a pre-K30 camera.  Other "repairs" might involve sanding the solenoid - avoid at all costs!!!

Pentaxforums has plenty of info on this - you could try doing a proper repair yourself.

Or just use lenses with aperture rings (some are excellent!).
