I always shoot at 125th of a second.  My camera syncs at 1/160, but I like to be under that (just in case).  I am shooting in the studio with anything from 1 to 6 studio strobes and RF transmitter, receivers.  Plus I use a flash meter (now pushing 30 years old) to set flash ratios and main exposure.

In the studio there is little to no ambient light, other than what I provide.
