EF 24-70 F2.8 II is a photojournalist's event lens. Being this bulky and weighty, it is not considered a street lens which is the op's application.

"I mostly take people, old buildings, old man made objects, architecture if there is a good occasion also portraits."

Although streets can be the location, this doesn't make it street photography.

small primes on m systems work as good street lenses.

For street I would choose R6+24-105stm. Narrow the aperture creating so much DOF you just don't have to focus and let that magnificent sensor take care of keeping high ISO noise down. I would also add the RF 50mm f/1.8 stm, the EF 24mm f/2.8 IS USM. Hard to make a choice between the RF 35mm f/1.8 and the EF 35mm f/2.0. The first one is less obtrusive, the second one focusses faster....

You can even operate it by your phone via OTG, making shooting from the hip pretty easy.

I wonder how many shoot this way

heck, carry two m's and 2 primes versus buy the mammoth ef stuff for street stuff

It would be nice if the cameras would synchronize settings via blue tooth.

I think the Op can benefit form M and the right M combos
