Considering this too. But for me it's not the cost of the high end stuff but almost totally ignoring the low end. There has not been a decent rebel upgrade in ages and the M line is languishing (3 years since the last really new camera).
By contrast nikon has the Z5 for cheap full frame and the Z50 and the retro model for cheap APS-C in the same Z system.

Canon either needs to give the M line some love or come out with a "Rebel Z".

Did you get a canon adapter for your EF lenses or just jump all the way in to the Nikon system??????

And another thing. Disappointing that my T2i can take a picture while taking a video but the latest and greatest R5 can't. It's something I used all the time with the T2i and while it's not a full ress capture the Nikon Z series can still take pictures while taking a video A great Dad/Family feature to prevent juggling two cameras one for video and one for stills.
