It seems everything is increasing in price. OK if you bought 2 years ago and now selling but for the majority, like myself, I am puting off buying.

Canon can charge what they want in these scarce times and still make nice profits!

Volume market or quality market. I see volume market more as value for money more bang for bucks lenses and not necessarily top notch glass yet no slouch. People are divided on this and confuse these lower price lens as to be avoided like plague. For me a bit of software correction is ok.

Canon mirror less offers something for all. RF is fairly new mount and commands newly introduced products pricing. I am happy with the offering. I have 35, 50, and 85mm 1.8/2 for reasonable price. I got RP with 24-240 for a steal price. I got the 100-500 at premium price (still waiting for it's delivery). There is the premium option in 14 to 200 market from Canon. I adopted my EF lenses for these as I can wait for these to get market prices eventually. It will be a lot longer wait given shortages and disruption of supply chain. What is bugging you though? 😂

I am in no rush and happy with Canon. I am sticking to Canon. PS over time I learned to stick to Canon lenses and now I don't prefer to buy 3rd party lenses as much.
