Canon 28/2.8 vs 35/2 for pet & concert photography?

Hello, I might need help of someone more experienced in wide lenses!

I just decided to sell my 28-70 L USM (had “haze” effect & was too heavy - Ive got issues with my hand - & too heavy to carry around, so it was just laying in my bag all the time). And I need something prime instead. As the 28-70 had some issues, I’m selling it cheap, and could afford only one of those cheaper lenses (or just wait & save).

I’m hobbyist pet photographer, but with my boyfriend starting a band, I’m trying to take photos on some small concerts also, so the purpose of wide lens would be also there.
Other lenses that I own are 50/1.8 (using only for indoor photos mostly and for the pet portraits when I was lazy to use 28-70) and 70-300 (for the bokeh on 300mm, action shoots, documenting rescue dog events). For those longer lenses I want add just 100mm macro and eventualy upgrade the 70-300 to the 70-200/4.

As for the wider ones go, I was kinda decided to go for the 35mm as the F2 is better than 2.8, but all my photos that I like from 28-70 were taken on 28mm, so this speaks for this one a bit. On the other hand, 35mm is universal and more useful for the concert photography I believe. Another solution would be go for 35mm now and something in range 18-24 later.

Some photos on the 28mm (from 28-70mm lens) that I liked. I own FF camera (5D I) btw.
