Can someone please confirm that there is no shutter shock with adapted EF/EF-S lenses with IS (mostly zooms) on the M6 mk ii?

There is shutter shock, but I think not as bad. I don't have time to find the links, but look up my previous posts on the subject. I gave an example for 250 mm at 1/60. And EF-S 18-55 3.5-5.6 IS STM shows the problem to a lesser degree. Even with the EF-M 15-45 I can work around it. I get most of the effect at 1/60 and 1/125 sec.

if Andy is looking at eeeking out as much resolution as possible out of the M6II 33 mpxl, then don't get cheap IS zooms. But there are workarounds as you said.

I'd highly recommend the M32 prime for the M6II. And DPReview said this also -- need the best glass to get the higher MPXL benefit.

Full electronic shutter works in most situations too.

The biggest problem: it's another thingy to be aware of which can't be automated, although it would be technically possible. It's the same with full mechanical shutter to avoid cut off bokeh: this is also be automatable, but not automated.

Can you explain that one? I know the RP needs kept below ss 1/1000 for a tad better bokeh , but are there clear examples with m6II where this is an issue?

No, not with M6II.

that is a relief!

It's an EFSC-problem, as the problem is caused by the distance between the sensor surface and the shutter curtain. The R, R6 and R5 feature both EFSC and full mechanical, and for those cameras it would be nice if the camera could switch automatically to full mechanical when both the aperture is wider than f/2.2 and the shutterspeed is faster than 1/1000th.

faster than 1/1000 and slower than 1/8000

Last thing to pray for is the minimum shutter speed on a dial in Av.

program with C1 or C2

no, that's not the same. Minimum shutter speed on a dial in Av + auto ISO all with one thirds of a stop increments would be exposure mode heaven for me.

ok, I see what you are after now

btw  - on my m6II trying to keep ss at min 1/125 with the 32

on my RP -- I took a giant leap into exposure heaven, in comparison to my 6d, when  I got the RF control ring set to EC and the exposure simulation of the RP

We're close to perfection, aren't we?
