I've changed the location of the DOF preview to the AF point button

Set the lens to manual focus

To focus:

Press the AF point button (now DOF preview) and using the focus aid complete the manual focus at the desired aperture.

Another trick I've found, specific to Tamron 24-70 G2 (and others as more people tests this):

-For my lens the focus shift happens in special conditions :

- the long focal range 45-70mm

- aperture slower or equal to 3.5  (ex F5.6)

- close objects (min focus range to 3-5m).

So the trick is:

- Auto focus normally if the aperture is F2.8.

Else, if the aperture is F3.5 and slower (exF4.0) and the focal range is 45-70mm, first autofocus at 35mm then change the focal length as required and take the picture.
